Justrite Outdoor Safety Lockers cost about half of building on-site (Based on cost per square footage).
All Outdoor Lockers Feature:- Factory Mutual approved & labeled.
- Unitized heavy gauge steel walls and roof formed and welded for strength.
- 3-point locking system for security.
- Oversized sump meets NFPA 30 and EPA 40CFR - double welded inside and out to be leaktight.
- Coating for weather and UV resistance.
- Chemical resistant epoxy on interior surfaces for long life.
- Gravity ventilation - six air changes per hour.
- Bonding, grounding system to protect against static electricity.
- Removable HDGAF (Hot Dipped Galvanized After Fabrication) steel grating for easy sump inspection and cleaning.
- Seismic and wind uplift hold-down protection.
- Forklift channels for easy relocation.
- NFPA 704 diamond placard is provided for identification of contents.
Fire-Rated Lockers Also Include:- Two-hour fire-rated gypsum board between heavy steel exterior and galvannealed interior walls.
- Two-hour fire-rated doors
- 1.5 hour fire louver on vent openings.
Explosion-Relief Lockers Also Include:- Explosion-resistant construction (100psf) with FM approved relief panels that release at 20 psf.
Regulations require that containers, such as pails and 55-gallon drums, accumulated outdoors be protected from direct sunlight, rain, snow and other weather conditions that cause rusting or deterioration. A containment system with sufficient capacity to contain 10% of the volume of the containers or the volume of the largest single container is mandated by EPA. A means must be provided to prevent unauthorized access. Justrite Safety Lockers Outdoor Storage Lockers satisfy these requirements in one delivered package!
Four Types of Construction:
Non-Combustible Outdoor Storage Lockers are designed to store Class 1B flammables in locations at least 75 feet away from other occupied, insured facilities*.
Fire-Rated Outdoor Storage Lockers resist fire up to two hours and are designed to store Class 1B flammables in locations within 75 feet of an occupied, insured facility. Fire-Rated Outdoor Storage Lockers may be placed indoors with local approval and should include light, fire suppression system and mechanical ventilation ducted to outdoors*.
Non-Combustible and Explosion-Resistant Lockers with Relief Panels are required for the storage of Class 1A flammables or the dispensing of Class 1A and Class 1B flammables within the cabinet in locations at least 75 feet away from other occupied, insured facilities*.
Fire-Rated and Explosion-Resistant Lockers with Relief Panels are required for the safe storage of Class 1A flammables or the dispensing of Class 1A or Class 1B flammables within the cabinet. Lockers are for locations within 75 feet of an occupied, insured facility*.
